Northwestern Shocks Michigan in dramatic fashion.

Hello Everybody. Northwestern University was the place to be on Wednesday Night as they may have punched their ticket into the NCAA Tournament. This comes as a result of a 67-65 victory over the Michigan Wolverines. Michigan had come into the Ballgame on Wednesday Night hoping to keep up their winning way going into the Big 10 tournament. But The Northwestern Wildcats had other ideas. The Victory for Northwestern came as a result of the greatest inbounds play ever seen. Here are the highlights of the game if you didn't get a chance to see it.

Just incase you are having an issue with not being able to play the Video, Here's what happened. Michigan's Zak Irvin tried to put up a long 3 but missed Michigan lost the ball as it went out of bounds. Then the Play of the year happened. With 1.7 seconds left in the game Northwestern Nathan TAPHORN threw a home run ball to his teammate DERERK Pardon at the other end of the court and Pardon made the layup with no time left on the clock. Now that's something that both Pardon and TAPHORN can tell their Grandkids about. There are some ratifications from this ball game I will get to that in a second but first the Stars of the game.

For the Northwestern Wildcats..

Bryant MCLNOTSH, He had 13 points along with one rebound and five assists.

Vic Law, He had 18 points along with five rebounds and three assists.

DERERK Pardon, The Hero with the Layup everybody will be talking about. He had Nine points along with eight rebounds and three assists.

Scottie Lindsey, Nobody will be saying beat me up to him because he beat up Michigan. He had nine points along with three rebounds and three assists.

Now if you're thinking Northwestern had all the stars of the game you are wrong.

Here are the stars for Michigan.

Derrick Walton Jr. he had 15 points along with two rebounds and six assists in a losing effort.

Zak Irvin, he had 12 points along with two rebounds and one assist. He will hopefully recover form the disappointment of Wednesday Night.

Muhammad-Ali ABDUR-RAHKNAN, Had a decent night with 13 points along with four rebounds and three assists.

Northwestern Coach Chris Collins had this moment in his mind all night. He told reports that this was the best night of my life after we shocked the Wolverines on our home court. We still have some work to do but I am very confident in our team after tonight. Because let's say it now, Northwestern is in the NCAA tournament for the first time ever in my opinion.

Michigan coach John BEILEIN reflected on his loss as a blow to Michigan's chances for the NCAA tournament. BEILEIN said afterwards that both teams deserve to be in the Big Dance because both teams played their hearts out tonight. But this loss tonight was a Big Blow to our chances of getting into the NCAA tournament. But we have one game to go then we will talk about what we can do in the Big 10 tournament. But this loss hurt us plenty.

Well the Big 10 tournament is just around the Corner. Here's my take on Michigan, This loss did hurt them, But I still like their chances of making the NCAA tournament. I know they only have a 19-11 record and they are only 9-8 in the Big 10. But they do have a couple of good quality wins. One of those wins came against Wisconsin when they were ranked in the top 10. So if you are ready to write off Michigan, I wouldn't do that just yet. ESPN's Joe LUNARDI had Michigan as an 8 seed. Yes that will change as a result of this loss. But the Big 10 tournament is coming up and anything can happen. So don't be surprised if we see Michigan in the Big Dance.

Now to the other side. Here's my take on Northwestern, The Wildcats may have just punched their ticket into the NCAA tournament for the first time in School History. Do you guys remember the Northwestern Football team when they lost 34 consecutive games. Well that was the Northwestern we got to know. But the Basketball program is on the verge of getting in the NCAA tournament. Look at Northwestern Record. They are 21-9 and 10-7 in the Big 10. So if you think Northwestern is not that good then I have news for you. They have some good quality wins under their belt and they are a team that everybody in the Big 10 better pay attention to because they will find a way to beat you. ESPN's Joe LUNARDI has Northwestern as a 10 seed. But that's going to go up as a result of this Big win and you better lookout for Northwestern in the Big 10 tournament because they have guys who can shoot the Basketball and they will be the team to watch going forward.

And one last thing, both teams have one game left.

Michigan is at Nebraska.

Northwestern is at home against No.16 Purdue.
