Ohio State comes together after Attack on Campus.

Hi everybody. I want to take a few minutes to address what happened on the campus of Ohio State on Monday. This is what we know at this hour. 11 people were injured yesterday in what some authorities are calling an act of terror. It all started at 9:30 on Monday when a fire alarm was pulled at Watts hall. Then from there 11 people were either being stabbed with a Butcher Knife or being run over by a car. The attack happened at Watts hall which is located at 19th Ave and College Road. And for those of you who that area of OSU that's rally close to Ohio Stadium. The Buckeye Alert went out at about 10 A.M and the Tweet was very simple Run, Hide, Fight, it was originally thought it was 2 suspects because of conflicting reports form OSU students who were in the area. The truth was there was one suspect. The 11 injured were taken to area Hospitals in Columbus with Non-Life threating injuries. The Suspect was Killed by an OSU Police officer right after the Initial attack. The Suspect was later Identified as 18-year old Abdul RAZAK Ali ARTRAN he was a SOMALI-Born Student who was a Freshman at Ohio State. He was featured in the Lantern News Paper which is the Ohio State Student Newspaper back in August. He was worried about people not following God and who don't pray for God and he was worried about the Muslim community. I don't know if that contributed to the Attack or not. But we might never find out. The Officer who shot and Killed the suspect was identified as 28-year old Alan HORUJKO a 2 Year Veteran of the Ohio State Police department. He is being hailed a hero for his actions because he was the one who prevented a situation from getting worst on Monday. The best News out of Monday was No victims were Killed and Classes have resumed today after being Cancelled on Monday after the attack. So today it's Business as usual at Ohio State.

During Monday's attack this man was the most calming voice at Ohio State. His name is Dr. Michael Drake. He is the President of Ohio State University. He went and saw the Injured students in the hospital after what happened on Monday. This a person who cares about his students and his faculty at the school.  Dr. Drake also did release a statement after Monday's Attack by saying " We have to prepare for anything that happens we always pray that we never have to use our training but you always have to prepare for anything because it's a tough society right now so you have to prepare for anything." I would like to say this to Dr. Drake My hats off to you Sir because you were the most Calming voice at Ohio State and thank you for what you do at The Ohio State University.

But There's One very special thank you that I want to extend to. And that's to the University of Michigan they sent out a special Tweet yesterday which said" Stay Safe Buckeyes" that was the one thing that really got my attention after the attacks on Monday. We had just beaten them 30-27 in Double Overtime. I had just called their coach a Whiny little Sissy Girl on Sunday after their loss to Ohio State. But folks there's a time and place you can talk trash about your rival school. But after the Tragic Events of Monday I put it off to the side. The Support we got From Ann Arbor was something to think about and to the University of Michigan I want to extend a Very Special thank you. The Love you guys gave us and the concern you guys had for us was the one thing that really something. We are Rivals but there's a time and place that you have to put the Rivalry off to the side. And this was one of those times.

But Before I go today I have a final thought on the events of Monday. What happened at Ohio State was an Attack but the way the University came together after what happened was something to that really impressed me I go through Ohio State when I am out and about. The University is one of the most Friendly schools in the country. It's the state of Ohio's Biggest employer they have 60.000 students enrolled at Ohio State and it's one of the Best Schools all over the world. The way the student body healed on Monday just hours after the attack. The Community came together in prayer vigils all over the school. Candle light Vigils were scheduled and the wasn't a candle to be lit in prayer for the injured students in yesterday's attack. The outpouring of love came for other folks as well. President-Elect Trump said yesterday he commended the Officer who ended a Nightmare before It got worst. Penn-State University released a statement saying " Our Prayers go out to OSU in their time of Need and stay safe in Columbus." The love that came form other walks of life that I don't have the time because there were so many after the Tragic events of Monday. So it's back to Business as usual at Ohio State and My Prayers go out to the School. The Student Body and the Faculty and to President Dr. Michael Drake the President of THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY.
