The Tennessee Titans' secondary went from average to fantastic in a week

Crazy how much can happen in a matter of seven days. Tennessee Titans fans should be ecstatic over the team's recent improvement to the secondary.

There was little doubt that outside of safeties Kevin Byard and Kenny Vaccaro, the Titans needed help defending the pass.

With Logan Ryan for sure on his out of Nashville and likely on his way to the New York Jets - according to rumors circulating on Twitter - the Titans drafted LSU defensive back, Kristian Fulton, in the second round and have signed former Houston Texans' cornerback Jonathan Joseph to a one year deal per Josina Anderson of ESPN.

Joseph, of course, has plenty of experience facing the Titans since he played in Houston for the last nine years, so, the transition into the lineup should be easy and rather seamless.

In his final season with the Texans, Joseph made 51 tackles and had one interception.

Head coach Mike Vrabel, who could assume control of defensive play-calling after Dean Pees retired, now has plenty of talent to work with.

Just eight days ago, the Titans only had two veteran players at corner, Malcolm Butler and Adoree Jackson, who were expected to carry the load,

Now, Fulton and Joseph add some much-needed depth and gives the team plenty of options moving forward.

The signing of Joseph is nothing flashy, but adding another veteran like him is crucial. He will be instrumental in helping to develop Kristian Fulton at the next level.
