Super Cheat

Is this a face of a cheater?

Four time Superbowl champion Tom Brady has his four game suspension upheld. I find it extremely disappointing and it reminds me of MLB players that do steroids and deny it and don't just confess after being caught. (Ryan Braun) I believe that had Brady confessed to cheating and was upfront his suspension would have been reduced. The fact he lied is a much bigger deal to me personally than the crime in itself.

CNN reporter Steve Almasy and Ralph Ellis had this great quote today. "Commissioner Roger Goodell, in affirming the suspension he handed down in May, said new information about the destruction of Brady's cell phone showed the four-time Super Bowl champion "sought to hide evidence of his own participation in the underlying scheme to alter the footballs." Steve Almasy, Ralph Ellis, (CNN)

Why if Tom Brady was innocent would he destroy the evidence? The case will have major ramifications in how you view Brady's legacy. I don't believe they should strip the Super Bowl's though Spygate doesn't help him much. I hate it when championships are stripped from teams. I can still find in my Sports Almanac for instance when Joe Paterno wins were stripped my 2012 Almanac still had him has the winningest college coach of all time.

The question will be what will the New England Patriots record be without Brady. I am confident that they will be at 2-2. I remember Matt Cassel took this team in 2008 to a 11-5 record and they almost made the playoffs. Brady will only miss four games and will be rested for a playoff run.

Their first game is against the Steelers and that will be a loss most likely against Ben Roethlisberger. I almost concerned about the Bills their defense can really dominate and with Rex Ryan coaching who hates the Patriots that puts them at 0-2. I love their matchup against the Jaguars that should be an easy win for the club. The Cowboys should be a tough battle and then Brady comes back against the Colts. I will be following the story very closely. Sound of your opinion is Brady legacy intact, or has been diminished by his second scandal.
