Cam Johnson Shows Some Upside in Phoenix

Johnson is a 23-year-old rookie, and there aren't too many of his kind in this generation (most NBA rookies are about 19 or 20). In 11 games played so far this season, Cam is averaging 9.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 18.1 minutes per game while shooting 40.4 percent from three.

He has an 18-point game to his record so far as well as two 15-point games. One of those 15-point games is shown in the clip above, while the other came during a 128-112 win over Atlanta. Cam also added four rebounds that game. Props to Suns head coach Monty Williams for giving him some run in the early going.

Johnson transferred from Pitt to UNC after his redshirt sophomore year after a coaching change, and it's good to see a hard worker land a lottery-pick paycheck. His only real flaw is that he needs to get stronger if he projects as a four man long-term, and Cam is still young enough to make good on that.

This is the type of player NBA fans should be celebrating.

Note: This might go down as my lone NBA post this season as I am boycotting LeBron James.

Hey everybody, Look at me - I'm LeBron James and I'm manipulating my own team again like I have for the last 15 years straight.

With his continual collusion tactics, LeBron at this point is nothing more than a 35-year-old bully for our league's youth, and I mean that in the most literal terms.

LeBron James = Bully.
